The Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a distinguished dialogue session titled “Emirati Entrepreneurship… Shaping the Future,” in collaboration with the Fujairah Youth Council, today at the Chamber’s theatre.

The session was attended by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Kaabi, Member of the Federal National Council; Ms. Sabreen Al Yamahi, former Member of the Federal National Council; Fatima Al Watani, Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors; and Maryam Abdullah Al Samahi, Deputy Director General of the Chamber.

The initiative coincided with the ongoing celebrations of Emirati Women’s Day and formed part of national activities highlighting the role of innovation and entrepreneurship among national talents.

The event was opened by Her Excellency Maryam Abdullah Al Samahi, Deputy Director General of the Fujairah Chamber, who emphasized the Chamber’s pivotal role in supporting youth entrepreneurship and assisting emerging businesses in developing their skills and strengthening their contribution to sustainable economic development.

She highlighted that the session represents an important interactive platform aimed at equipping national talents with the modern tools and skills required to excel and innovate in their emerging ventures. She also reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to empowering national talents by providing support, guidance, and strategic partnerships, enabling young people and women to lead the business sector with confidence and competence. This includes creating a supportive business environment through the services provided by the Chamber’s Fujairah Centre for Small and Medium Enterprises Support.

The panel featured a distinguished group of women entrepreneurs and speakers, including Her Excellency Lawyer Fatima Al Watani, Naama Al Yamahi, entrepreneur; Eng. Samia Al Suraidi; and Ms. Fatima Al Shara, Head of the Fujairah Centre for Small and Medium Enterprises Support at the Chamber.

Ms. Fatima Al Shara highlighted the Centre’s role in supporting entrepreneurs by providing facilities and services to holders of service business licences within business incubators, including feasibility studies and training programmes designed to help overcome challenges they may encounter.

The discussion was skillfully moderated by media professional Abeer Al Ruwaihi. The speakers shared their inspiring experiences in managing successful businesses across a range of vital sectors, including legal practice and consultancy, perfumes and skincare, as well as engineering consultancy and geological surveying.

The event also witnessed notable participation from women entrepreneurs and ambitious young women interested in exploring opportunities in entrepreneurship, self-employment, and innovation.

The session brought together officials, experts, entrepreneurs, and young people interested in business and entrepreneurship. It aimed to highlight inspiring national experiences and successful entrepreneurial stories, while exploring ways to empower Emirati youth and equip them with the necessary tools to contribute to building a sustainable economic future for the Emirate of Fujairah.

Following the main dialogue session, an interactive brainstorming workshop titled “From a Promising Idea… to Impactful Entrepreneurship” was conducted and facilitated by Ms. Nouf Al Ameri. The workshop focused on stimulating creative thinking among participants and transforming innovative ideas into practical projects and initiatives capable of creating tangible impact in local and global markets.

This joint initiative reflects the continued efforts of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Fujairah Youth Council to provide an enabling environment for talent and innovation and to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment among young people. It also aligns with the strategic vision of the United Arab Emirates in empowering youth as a driving force for comprehensive and sustainable development.
