His Excellency Sheikh Saeed bin Sorour Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the Chamber's keenness to enhance economic and trade cooperation relations with sisterly and friendly countries, exchange visits of economic delegations, and open channels of communication between business owners in the Emirate of Fujairah and all countries.
This came during his reception in his office at the Chamber's headquarters this afternoon, His Excellency Abdulaziz Okulov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the country, accompanied by the Economic Advisor at the Embassy, in the presence of His Excellency Sorour Hamad Al-Zuhairi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Futim Obaid Al-Shehhi, Member of the Board, and Sultan Jemei Al-Hindasi, Director General of the Chamber.
During the meeting, ways to enhance the economic and trade partnership between Fujairah and Uzbekistan were discussed, as well as opening channels of communication to organize mutual visits for business owners and trade delegations from both sides, which contributes to informing the business communities in both Fujairah and Uzbekistan of the investment advantages available on both sides and encouraging them to take advantage of the available opportunities in various sectors and the possibility of establishing joint projects between them.
His Excellency Sheikh Saeed Al Sharqi praised on the development of economic relations between the UAE and Uzbekistan, which contributes to achieving more joint work on the economic and commercial levels between the two friendly countries.
For his part, His Excellency Sultan Jemei Al-Hindasi explained that Uzbekistan is an important partner of the UAE in the Central Asian region, stressing the keenness of the Fujairah Chamber to strengthen trade and investment ties between Fujairah and their counterparts in Uzbekistan, and to view promising investment opportunities and build partnerships in the industrial, commercial, tourism and logistics sectors. He pointed out that the Fujairah Chamber is fully prepared to provide all facilities to Uzbek companies wishing to enter the labor market in Fujairah.
For his part, His Excellency the Ambassador stressed his country's keenness to strengthen mutual relations between the UAE and his country and Fujairah in particular to provide promising opportunities in the fields of industry based on the exploitation of natural resources and investment in vital sectors represented in oil storage, logistics services and tourism
