Fujairah Chamber Participates in Economic Forum in Belarus and Signs Cooperation Agreement with Minsk Chamber

A delegation from the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the fifth edition of the International Economic Cooperation Forum, held in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, as part of the Chamber’s efforts to expand economic cooperation and strengthen trade and investment relations between the business communities of Fujairah and Belarus.

The delegation included H.E. Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Mulla, Vice Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors; H.E. Marwan Khamis Al Sheikh and H.E. Ali Mohammed Al Kaabi, Board Members; and H.E. Sultan Juma Al Hindasi, Director General of the Chamber.

During the opening of the forum, Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Mulla delivered the Chamber’s speech, emphasizing the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between the UAE and Belarus. He highlighted the key advantages and capabilities of the UAE in general and the Emirate of Fujairah in particular.

Al Mulla stressed the importance of expanding economic partnerships, increasing trade and industrial exchange, and developing cooperation frameworks across various sectors to serve the business communities of both sides. He also noted that sustainable trade relations and exchanges of economic delegations contribute to stimulating commercial activity and supporting economic growth.

Marwan Khamis Al Sheikh presented a paper on Fujairah’s logistics capabilities, highlighting the Emirate’s advanced infrastructure and its role as a key pillar in supporting economic growth and enhancing trade flows in the region.

Sultan Juma Al Hindasi presented a paper on Fujairah’s economic capabilities, strategic location, and competitive advantages, which position the Emirate as a prominent global economic destination in the region. He also highlighted its role in serving local, Middle Eastern, and African markets.

The forum witnessed the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Minsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aimed at developing economic cooperation, exchanging delegations, organizing events, and supporting cooperation opportunities between private-sector institutions on both sides.

The agreement includes promoting trade and investment partnerships, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, exchanging economic information and expertise, and introducing available investment opportunities and sectors in Fujairah and Minsk.

As part of the visit, the Chamber’s delegation visited the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) in Minsk, where they reviewed its activities and available investment opportunities, explored ways to enhance trade exchange with companies and institutions operating in Fujairah, and held several meetings with representatives of Belarusian companies and factories.
